Hi:
I have LPD 6803 led pixels and I'd like to know if I can control them with Ledtrix, I have a USB- DMX decoder too, the manufacturer says that this decoder can give the adress to the pixel strips I have.
Thanks.

Re: RGB LED pixels
If everything works on DMX and you have a USb->DMX thats Supported by freestyler, then it should work.
Look at these link, to get a Idea.

Re: RGB LED pixels
would the basic DMX modules be able to do a chase with LPD6803 pixels (I bought from http://www.bestlightingbuy.com/lpd6803- ... ixels.html )? I think they are 3 channel so maybe all they are good for is RGB? I don't know whether this isn't going to make much sense.

Re: RGB LED pixels
I'm assuming that by "DMX modules" you mean dmx to led driver am I right? If so, yes it will control the LPD6803 pixels, but It wont chase. All the lights on a 50 ct. string will be controlled at the same time. The LED-Trix program will work, but it won't do any of the effects properly.

Re: RGB LED pixels
did you make it anywhere on this idea, the idea of these led strings is each led node has its own processor, so it should be able to take an address if paired with the right controller, however a few strings of these will eat up a universe pretty fast

Re: RGB LED pixels
This will only work if your LED Strip has a channel config for each LED Group. (eg. RGB, 1st group are channels 1,2,3. RGB Second Group are 4,5,6. Etc)

Re: RGB LED pixels
After 2 years I could control these pixels using a DMX decoder, it works perfect with Ledtrix, in fact it works using these pixels as a normal fixture too.
